2. Underrated: You’re the Worst
You’re the Worst is an American single-camera comedy-drama television series created by Stephen Falk. It premiered on FX on July 17, 2014. The show follows Jimmy Shive-Overly (Chris Geere), a self-involved writer, and Gretchen Cutler (Aya Cash), a self-destructive Los Angeles PR executive, as they attempt a relationship after meeting at Jimmy’s ex-girlfriend’s wedding.

3. Overrated: The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is an American television sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007, and concluded on May 16, 2019, having broadcast a total of 279 episodes over twelve seasons. The show originally centered on five characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, both physicists at Caltech; Penny, a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall; and Leonard and Sheldon’s similarly geeky and socially awkward friends and co-workers, aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali.

4. Underrated: Better Off Ted
Better Off Ted is an American satirical sitcom television series created by Victor Fresco. It premiered on ABC on March 18, 2009 and ended on January 26, 2010. The series follows Ted Crisp (Jay Harrington), a single father and the well-respected and beloved head of a research and development department at the fictional, soulless conglomerate of Veridian Dynamics.

5. Overrated: Friends
Friends is an American television sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. It aired on NBC from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004, lasting ten seasons. The show revolves around six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City: Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc), and Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow).

6. Underrated: Warrior
Warrior is an American action-drama television series created by Jonathan Tropper and Justin Lin that premiered on Cinemax on April 5, 2019. It is based on an original concept by Bruce Lee. Set during the Tong Wars in late 1870s San Francisco, California, the series follows Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), a martial arts prodigy who immigrates to San Francisco from China and becomes a hatchet man for the most powerful tong in Chinatown.

7. Overrated: Wednesday
Follows Wednesday Addams’ years as a student, when she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree, and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents. A sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.
“The show itself was meh, but Jenna Ortega’s acting was incredible. I think without her, it wouldn’t have been nearly as good.”
8. Underrated: Happy Endings
This Chicago-set sitcom follows the intertwined lives of six young urbanites trying to learn the ropes of adulthood. Through breakups and whatever other curveballs life throws them, the pals stick together.

9. Overrated: Grey’s Anatomy
A medical and romantic drama centered around Meredith Grey, an aspiring surgeon and daughter of one of the best surgeons, Dr. Ellis Grey. Throughout the series, Meredith goes through professional and personal challenges along with fellow surgeons at Seattle Grace Hospital.

10. Underrated: Patriot
Follows the complicated life of intelligence officer John Tavner, whose latest assignment–to prevent Iran from going nuclear–requires him to forgo all safety nets and assume a perilous, non-official cover.

11. Overrated: Stranger Things
Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s. The nearby Hawkins National Laboratory ostensibly performs scientific research for the United States Department of Energy but secretly experiments with the paranormal and supernatural, sometimes with human test subjects.
“Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the show, but you can agree it is a bit overrated now.”
12. Underrated: Detroiters
Single camera, buddy comedy that centers on Sam (Richardson) and Tim (Robinson), two local ad men who make low budget commercials in Detroit, Michigan. But the two best friends, much like the city in which they live, aspire to achieve great things.
